Justin Tyler is a writer, director and performer. He is currently directing a series for espn+ and supervising producer for ‘101 places to party before you die’ on hbomax. 

He was a staff writer on The Opposition w/ Jordan Klepper on Comedy Central, Head Writer for A Night at the Academy Awards Museum on ABC and Head Writer for Comedy Knockout on TruTV. In addition, he has written on various TV projects for HBO, Amazon, The CW, IFC, TruTV, MTV, HLN, Discovery, Buzzfeed, Nickelodeon, Travel Channel, CMT and Fox Sports 1. 

At Desus & Mero, he was the supervising field producer, directing segments featuring Bernie Sanders, John Legend, Lin Manuel Miranda, Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Don Cheadle, Matt Walsh and more, as well as sketches, interviews and man-on-the-streets. He also directed Tracy Morgan’s Shark Week Special Sharks! and commercials for brands like: Mt. Dew, Twix, Casper Mattresses, Field Roast, Spectrum, Ruffles, Wiser's Whiskey, Verizon, Humira, Oral B, Beneful, Eatsmart and many more.  

As an actor, he recently appeared in the LionsGate feature ‘Most Likely to Murder’ and the Wyatt Cynac digital series ‘aka Wyatt Cynac’ on Topic. As a voice over actor he has performed in dozens of television and radio commercials, including the voice of a Comcast campaign featuring Jane Lynch.

He is also a performer and director at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, co-creator of the character showcase show Characters Welcome with Michael Hartney, producer and co-host of the weekly variety show BEAST and hosts the long-running geek culture podcast Comic Book Club.

Originally from upstate New York, Justin lives in Brooklyn with his wife, two daughters, and a truly obscene stack of comic books.
